Our 8-week course is based on
the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, originally developed by
Jon Kabat-Zinn.
Mindfulness; it is something
that anyone can do. It is the art to be in the present moment. Other than being
in past and future. After all, what else is there? One can worry about the past
and the future all they want, but they both are not HERE now, for NOW there is
only THIS present moment.

Cost: Q550 for 8 weeks, meeting 2
hours weekly.
Over the eight-week program, we will meet weekly 2 hours per week, you will be learning a number of key skills that allow you to tune into and become aware of your experience in the present moment. By maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. You will also be establishing a routine of spending time each day by yourself formally practicing Mindfulness meditation.
Throughout the course, you
will learn skills that can increase your ability to:
• Cope with stress, pain, and
the challenges of everyday life
• Deal with disturbing events
with grace and calmness
• Be fully present and alive
in this moment
• Finding a better emotional
balance and feeling more alert, stable, clear and peaceful.
• Examine and reflects on
patterns of your own mind, feelings and actions, and to gently interrupt
patterns of self-criticism and unhelpful actions.
• Training your mind to be
less reactive.
Research indicates that
mindfulness training can have a significant therapeutic effect for those
experiencing stress, anxiety, worry, anger, grief, high blood pressure,
depression, chronic pain, migraines, heart conditions, diabetes and other
ailments. In addition, participants typically report feeling more alive, more
"in-tune" with themselves and others.
